Apple is a totalitarian software company that makes an awesome phone, which requires Apple's music management program, which works best with Apple's operating system, which requires an Apple computer. Once you have that, you can sync your Apple phone with Apple's calendar and Apple's mail program. You can also use Apple's online store to buy music and movies from Apple, and display them either on your Apple Cinema Display (connected to your Apple Mac) or using your Apple TV.
